About the Role
As Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in laying the foundation for our company’s financial health and increasing profitability in the long run. You will be challenged to help build our cash management policies and prepare Volt for continued rapid growth. You will support every department in maintaining budgets, forecasts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, as well as strategic modeling of pricing models as we launch new features. You will report directly to the CEO and be expected to regularly communicate with board members and investors.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual results, overseeing budgets, and evaluating and deciding investments.
• Focus on enabling Volt to scale by thinking 6-12 months ahead, anticipating the roadblocks that come with growth, and setting the team up for success to navigate them with ease.
• Provide tools for organization-wide transparency into financial tracking and controls, including, but not limited to, 13-week cash flow models.
• Responsible for cash management and developing scalable systems and policies to ensure the team has the resources it needs while remaining financially responsible.
• Conduct risk management and proactively mitigate the risks identified.
• Conduct profit and cost analyses and recommend cost-reducing solutions.
• Work closely with sales to optimize our pricing models and create policies to maintain margin targets for contract negotiations.
• Manage our external accounting team and quarterly financial reporting to the investors and board members.
• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
