At Sight Machine, you will work with manufacturing leaders in the automotive, medical device, apparel, construction, and pharmaceutical industries. You will have access to, and work with massive amounts of factory floor data to help uncover insights on how customers make products and develop solutions to pressing business problems. The platform solves problems like Extract Transform Load (ETL), information retrieval, data aggregation and analytics, factory automation, distributed computing, and security.

About the role
As a Consulting Project Manager, you will project manage the consultative and technical delivery of Sight Machine’s category-defining Manufacturing Data Platform to drive Industrial AI and firmwide digital transformation for some of the world’s most iconic manufacturers and technology providers, including industry leaders such as Microsoft, Siemens, and Databricks. If you are interested in applying rigorous project management strategies and tactics, significant stakeholder management and coordination challenges, and developing a deepening subject matter expertise in manufacturing data platforms, AI/ML, and cutting edge technologies, please apply for this position. You will be the primary driver in coordinating complex consulting support and technical delivery at a global scale.

Coordinating with relevant stakeholders, within the client, Sight Machine, and third party organizations, inside and outside the organization, define and manage the delivery of the Sight Machine platform and related consulting services for large manufacturing enterprises through the customer lifecycle: discovery, implementation, expansion, and ongoing support
Drive our storytelling; helping our customers understand how our work, strategy, and prioritizations drive value and lead to their outcomes goals
We serve complex enterprises and you will work simultaneously with client-side plant floor operations, IT, data science, business intelligence, and leadership as well serve as key coordinator in how we work with those groups as well as work with delivery, system integration, and sales partners, inside our company and across an ecosystem
Getting familiar with the client's business environment in order to lead projects effectively
Coordinating with relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization
Allocating tasks to the project management team and providing regular guidance to team members
Ensuring the scope and schedule of projects are achievable within the given time and budget, that reviews and reporting match customer needs and expectations, update relevant project documentation, and support delivery-related risk management activities
This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel to client business and factory sites to kick-off engagements, walk factory floors, and support onsite customer planning and delivery sessions. The frequency of travel will vary based on the client.
Qualifications
Expertise in formal project management methodology and controls
Expertise in providing consulting services in a manufacturing operations context
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a variety of project environments
Exceptional problem-solving and resource planning skills
First-class verbal and written communication skills, with strong senior client management skills with executive level communication expertise
Also helpful, but not required
Project management certifications or formal education
Experience with data science in the manufacturing context
Experience with software development management
