Ripple Science is transforming participant recruitment and retention for clinical research. Our cloud-based platform helps clinical trial sites, academic medical centers, hospitals, health care organizations, research institutions, and CROs engage participants more efficiently, reduce dropout rates, and accelerate study timelines—especially in population health, behavioral sciences, and observational research.


As we continue to grow in a fast-paced environment with exciting goals, we’re hiring an Account Executive to lead the charge in bringing our solution to more organizations that need it.

Position Overview

The Account Executive will manage the entire sales cycle, from lead qualification to close with a strong emphasis on discovery, problem-solving, communication, and value articulation. You’ll partner closely with engineering and customer success to deliver a cohesive experience and contribute to the evolution of our sales process.


This role requires the ability to understand clinical research protocol design, technical workflows and confidently demonstrate Ripple’s platform to sophisticated research teams. You must be capable of learning a technically nuanced product and translating its value into customer language.

Key Responsibilities


Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales cycle including qualification, discovery, demo, proposal, and close
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads from inbound interest, partner referrals, and targeted outreach
  • Deliver tailored product demos that align with each buyer’s workflow and research objectives
  • Navigate academic and research institution procurement processes (security reviews, PI approval, etc.) with help from our contracts, finance and security teams with you as quarterback.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and CRM records (HubSpot)

Collaboration and Process Improvement

  • Partner with customer success and engineering to ensure smooth handoffs and account knowledge transfer
  • Share field insights with marketing and product teams to inform positioning, roadmap,
    and campaign priorities
  • Contribute to the development of a repeatable sales process including playbooks, messaging frameworks, and sales assets

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years of SaaS sales experience, preferably in life sciences, digital health, or clinical trials
  • Strong communication and consultative selling skills with ability to guide complex conversations
  • Experience engaging with research stakeholders in healthcare, academic, or public health settings
  • Technical aptitude to learn and demonstrate a software platform without heavy engineering support
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills to manage long, multi-touch sales cycles
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment
  • Growth mindset, highly coachable, and a strong team player

Preferred

  • Familiarity with participant recruitment, retention, or eConsent solutions
  • Knowledge of public health, behavioral research, or longitudinal studies
  • Understanding of academic or research institution buying processes
