Onsite:
This position is open to applicants or individuals who are located in or around Groveport, OH and able to work 3rd Shift scheduled Sunday-Thursday 10PM-6AM with flexibility for longer hours based off of business and peak needs.
The Role:
The Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for delivery of effective security and loss prevention services to the Cart.com Service Center and clients. Operate as the first line contact for initiating emergency and loss prevention functions at the Cart.com Service Center in order to provide a safe work environment for associates and to reduce loss for the company.
What You’ll Do:
Monitor and respond to various computer-based security systems including fire, intrusion, duress, access control, environmental systems, and video surveillance.
Apply appropriate response protocols or use sound judgment when predefined procedures do not apply.
Serve as the primary contact for emergency situations (e.g., fire, gas leaks, medical emergencies, natural disasters, overseas travel incidents).
Conduct regular physical security checks (e.g., fence lines, gates, lighting, doors, windows) to ensure facility safety.
Review and analyze reports from security systems to identify anomalies or potential dishonest behavior; escalate findings appropriately.
Enforce turnstile monitoring policies including bag/garment checks, badge distribution, and merchandise removal procedures.
Assist in developing loss prevention procedures and response protocols.
Customize and program Cart.com’s security system software to meet operational objectives.
Act as the first-line technical expert on security and loss prevention systems for Cart.com and its clients.
Collaborate with management to routinely test system functionality and user preparedness.
Monitor for violations of company policy that may lead to safety risks or inventory shrinkage; report findings to management.
Oversee trailer delivery checks including seal verification, paperwork accuracy, and proper release/receipt procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Loss Prevention Investigator, Supervisor, or Manager.
Train and evaluate new Loss Prevention personnel.
Assist in investigations and apprehension of dishonest associates or contractors.
Who You Are:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
What You’ve Done:
3–4 years of relevant experience in loss prevention or security
Nice to Haves:
Distribution center experience preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.
The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.
Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.
Required to travel in elevator or stairwells to attend meetings and engage with associates on multiple floors throughout building.
