The Role:
As a Senior Business Operations Manager - Commerce Solutions at Cart.com, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our e-commerce platforms and processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the performance, optimization, and continuous improvement of commerce operations. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that our e-commerce solutions deliver exceptional results for our clients. Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, you will lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and provide strategic support to meet business goals.
Your focus will be on managing the day-to-day operations, improving processes, analyzing key metrics, and driving cost-effective, customer-centric solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily operations of Cart.com’s e-commerce solutions, ensuring platform performance and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, IT, and marketing, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of commerce strategies.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure smooth integrations, reliable performance, and timely issue resolution.
- Analyze key performance metrics, such as conversion rates, customer lifetime value, and operational costs, to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the integration of third-party tools and solutions, including CRM systems, payment gateways, and analytics platforms.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual workloads and increase operational scalability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant e-commerce regulations and security protocols to protect customer data and maintain operational integrity.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and fulfillment teams to optimize inventory management, order processing, and delivery times.
- Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve business objectives.
Who You Are:
- You possess deep knowledge of e-commerce platforms and operational processes, with the ability to manage large-scale commerce solutions.
- You have advanced project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- You have strong analytical skills and can use data-driven insights to make decisions that improve operational performance.
- You are experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships to ensure seamless operations.
- You are a strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and drive innovation.
- You are customer-centric and focused on delivering exceptional user experiences through operational excellence.
- You have excellent communication skills and can effectively present insights and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

What You’ve Done:
- You have 7+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, business operations, or a related field.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- You have demonstrated success in improving operational processes and enhancing platform performance.
- You have experience managing third-party vendor relationships and working with cross-functional teams.
- You have a proven track record in using data analytics to optimize commerce operations and drive business growth.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience working in a high-growth, tech-driven environment.
- Experience in managing large-scale digital transformation or automation projects.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Operations Management.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Shopify, or other e-commerce platforms.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in a standard office environment.
- May require occasional travel for vendor meetings or client engagements.
